January 2010 Favorites

It's February now but I wanted to start doing a monthly favorite post. These items won't only be the new items I've purchased of had the opportunity to try, but also just things I've been loving in general.

Also, if all goes as planned, I'll also be doing a giveaway to go with my Favorites...starting this month! :)

Benefit Sugarbomb Blush

Benefit's newest cheek color, Sugarbomb, is absolutely adorable. It makes a gorgeous, glowing pink blush for those with more of a fair skintone. However for those with a darker skintone, Sugarbomb makes a beautiful cheek highlight.

Available at Benefit counters,, Sephora, and Ulta.

Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray

This product was recommended to me by a wonderful friend and Twitter buddy :) With my new love for my Chi flat iron, I was in the market for an affordable (aka cheap) heat protectant and am so far loving this one. It leaves my hair looking and feeling soft, sleek, and static-free.

Available at drug stores.

Loreal Bare Naturale Concealer

I've been using Bare Escentuals Well Rested as my under eye brightener for a while now. Over my liquid foundation and blended out into my MAC Studio Fix Powder it did wonders for my dark circles. Unfortunately, on it's own or with Bare Escentuals foundation itself, Well Rested never seemed to do much for me as my dark circles are DARK. Now though, I'm using Loreal Bare Naturale Concealerin Fair and I'm loving it more that I ever did Well Rested. It's quite a bit lighter than my skintone but that lightness is what makes it work for me. There's quite a nice price difference too especially considering that a lot of stores have Buy 1, Get 1 sales.

I however don't like the packaging so I break it open and empty the contents into my old Well Rested container.

Available at drug stores and Ulta.

MAC Lady Danger Lipstick

I don't do red lips often but when I do I tend to go with MAC Russian Red lipstick. I've been wanting to get Lady Danger for a while and I adore it. On me, it's nearly neon; so very bright and eye catching. It's definitely not a lipstick for the color-shy.

Available at MAC stores and counters, as well as

  1. Great products. Lady Danger is beautiful!

  2. Girl, that lip color is FABULOUS, can I have your lips....omg I want this color and when I do get I pray it looks the same on my lips. It's like I have been searching for a red lipstick to look just like that on my lips and yup, this is probably "the one".

  3. I have been wanting Lady Danger forever! I went to MAC a few weeks ago and they were sold out! Its such a beautiful color!!!!!

  4. Lady Danger lipstick is amazing! I'm glad you're loving it too.

  5. Wow, thanks so much for this review, really helpful, especially because I'm always looking for the perfect concealer!

  9. Love your jan faves =] and you ROCK the red lipstick hahahahaa I don't look good with red lipstick

  10. I agree with you about "Well Rested" because when I first started using it I thought it really brightened, but I was using a self tanner at the time. Now that I am back to my regular skin tone, I don't see where it does anything to help. Thanks for the tip on this one:)

  11. hum I am gonna have a look at the concealer...but powder ? Doesn't it set in the lines ???
your lips are Amazing in red...I wear red lips really rarely (have the impression to look like a clown !)

  12. @MUA: I've been using a powder concealer for years and haven't ever had a problem with it setting into my lines. I guess it depends on the person though.

  13. I'm recently quite in love with Lady Danger myself- I think it's the perfect February red- still snow-whiteish, but not that Christmas scarlet. And, yes, your lips are fab!
