Review: Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Shadow Primer

Recently Lorac released their Behind the Scenes Eye Shadow Primer. According to Lorac:

This gentle, lightweight, oil, fragrance and paraben free formula keeps your eye shadow picture-perfect from daytime to Prime Time. Created by celebrity makeup artist Carol Shaw to be used Behind The Scenes on photo shoots and on the Red Carpet, this unique eye shadow primer easily glides on for crease-resistant, silky-smooth color that lasts!
.5oz/14.79ml
$20

This is officially one of my favorite eye primers. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and haven't once have a had an issue with creasing or fading. The formula doesn't have a color to it but it is a bit thicker than other primers, like the Too Faced Shadow Insurance (which I also love), which is great because it "grabs" onto the shadows wonderfully. I also really like the fact that this primer is oil, fragrance and paraben free. These factors make it great for those with sensitive eyes.

Taking price into consideration, Lorac is $20 for 0.5oz. Though it's $3 more than Too Faced (0.35oz) and $2 more that Urban Decay (0.34oz), you're getting more product for a bit more money.

Comparisons
(left to right--Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Lorac Behind the Scenes, Urban Decay Primer Potion)

The Lorac primer (center) appears to be the thickest of the formulas.

Blended out:

All 3 primers with 3 different finishes of eyeshadow.
(top--matte, middle--shimmer, bottom--mineral)
You can see how the Too Faced primer (far left) has a bit of fall-out around the edges of the shadows. Lorac and Urban Decay both have none (I however, can't use Urban Decay Primer Potion because it dries my lids).

Overall an awesome primer!
